Disappearing Mail

From the title you might think this post is about the fact that because of email and online billing, the only mail we get anymore is mostly junk....

Not so. I have a problem in my house. I confess I do love certain mail. I love sale ads, I love catalogs, I love cards, I love magazines, and especially, I love packages.

My problem is this, I have a son who also loves mail. Current bookstore ad (with coupons) missing. Current "Family Fun" magazine missing. About the only thing that is safe is my Martha Stewart Living magazine.... (No, I didn't order it for myself, Hubby ordered it for me, and I'm still not sure if it is a suggestion or not....)

If anything is missing, I know where to go. The 6 yr old son. Unfortunately, he has short-term memory loss, so unless I catch him red-handed, he never can remember where he put the loot!

He has the same problem with the Sunday paper. He steals any ad that might remotely be interesting and I never see it again. It's become a race to the ads, if I don't get to them first, I may not see them. (Although that may be saving us some cash...)

AND, it's not enough that he takes the ads, magazines, etc. He also has to take pens and circle anything he might want for Christmas...

Of course, Christmas is still 10 1/2 MONTHS away!

Oh well, look for the positive, hmmmm...

At least he plans ahead????

Thanks for the comment! That's cute about your 6 year old. I just found the SITS website this morning, but it seems like such a cool idea!

I love mail too--real mail, of course, not bills! Catalogs are my favorite!

Thanks for stopping by from SITS today.

Your son sounds like a very certain planner. He is way ahead of the game for Christmas lists! To cute!

That's so cute...and not at the same time I guess. :-) Hmm...maybe you can get him a subscription to National Geographic Jr. or Highlights and then he'll have his own mail to swipe?

Aw, that's so cute. I have found that kids around that age loooove to hoard papers- I have no idea why!
