I am having cravings like nothing else.
I think it is because I am being tempted.
For example, several months ago I started taking cholesterol meds and was told I should not have grapefruit or grapefruit juice because it could have a potentially serious reaction. So of course I immediately crave a big, juicy grapefruit, even though I probably had not had one in say, 5 plus years!
Now, this week, hubby and I started the South Beach Diet. For those of you who don't know, that means low, low carbs and sugars for two weeks. No bread, no pasta, no fruit. So I have been eating lots of chicken, turkey, veggies, salads, nuts, and cheese. I also have worked out 3 of the last 4 days. So I have lost 7 lbs in 5 days! Definitely something to be happy about.
But all I can think about it potato chips, ice cream, chocolate, etc.
Let me tell you, my trip to Sam's and the grocery store today were nothing but a test of willpower.
I am blogging to avoid my kitchen and the wealth of temptation there!

oooo. You poor thing. I can totally empathize with you on this one. Things are always worse and more yummy-seeming when you can't have them.
I can't eat any wheat anymore, so my husband always jokes when he sees me eyeing bread or cookies or something. He says, "Oh, you wouldn't like this. It's full of evil. And I'm pretty sure it was made from the tears of puppies, too."
Good luck to you from a SITSta who cares! I liked meeting you and reading your blog.
Good for you so far! I did the South Beach diet, and I cleaned out my pantry first, getting rid of anything I wasn't supposed to have. It really helped with the temptations.
Congrats on losing weight already! Woohoo!
